SYRACUSE, N.Y. -[/B] On Saturday afternoon Syracuse softball continued as the Orange hosted Binghamton at the Skytop Softball Stadium. SU's offensive showing left hitting coach, [URL='http://www.suathletics.com/coaches.aspx?rc=848'][U]Matt Nandin[/U][/URL] very pleased with his team as they scored 23 runs in the contest.

"I thought all of our hitters did a really good job getting in hitters counts and not missing their pitches when they got them." Coach Nandin said.

He was very pleased that even when the 'Cuse was pouring on runs, his hitters remained disciplined and were not swinging for the fences.

"We scored 23 runs and only had two home runs (both by [URL='http://www.suathletics.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=10467'][U]Julie Wambold[/U][/URL]) which says a lot," Coach Nandin said, "It's really easy for the hitters to lose their approach when we get out to a big lead and then they just try to hit homeruns."

Sunday's game against LeMoyne was cancelled due to weather and has been moved to Friday, September 26 at Skytop Softball Stadium at 4:00 PM. This weekend the Orange will also visit Cornell for a double header on Saturday, September 27 at 12:00 PM.
