Some pregame thoughts on Duke/SU

It should be pretty obvious by this point in the season what Syracuse needs to do to keep this one close. Limit the foul trouble for Rakeem, work the offense through Rakeem, defend the perimeter against a team full of good shooters, etc.

Duke's narrow win against Virginia Tech honestly has me feeling better about this game. If a 2-13 ACC team can take Duke to overtime, we can sure as hell beat them if we play well. And another note: I'm extremely glad we're playing Duke, then Virginia, and not the other way around. The Virginia game is going to be physical, and playing Virginia and THEN Duke would get us completely beaten up against the Cavs, leaving us worn down for the Duke game.

It will be fun to see what the Crazies come up with this year. I can image a bunch of half-on sport coats. It would be funny if JB reenacted it on his way into CIS.

I just realized we have a potentially BAD pattern going on right now...our last 8 games have alternated losses and wins. L, W, L, W, L, W, L, W...and Duke is next. I don't like this.

Oh yeah, they will definitely have on sport coats. They may have some special cheers as well but I don't believe ESPN will show them.

You were sure to give CTO her props! Hard to imagine how we are going to pull this off, although Madbiker seems to have the formula. More than anything, I want and we need Christmas to have a stellar game!
