and the 2003 NC game. Both SU and Nova were up 10, with the ball at the 5 minute mark of the second half. (We were actually up 9 with the ball at the 3:40 mark). Both Kansas and UNC whittled the leads away to set up a game tying three. Paige hit his which forced Nova to win at the buzzer. Heinrich missed his with 18 seconds left (Hak got the bound, missed two FT and then made the block). It really is amazing looking back now how we almost gave that game away much like Nova almost did last night.

I was thinking more of the 1987 game. Alford, who was the Hoosier's go-to guy, was supposed to take the last shot, which JB anticipated., but Alford found Smart open. Last night Archidiacono was supposed to take the shot, which Williams had defended, and Jenkins became the hero.
