One more note about 2019 — whatever you think about Ward/Lynch, our fan base was wildly optimistic entering the season.  That despite knowing that Dungey was a once in a decade QB, that Devito had never started a game and had not demonstrated an ability to deal with pressures, and both OTs were untested (replacing multi-year starters).  It was a bad combination.

I expect Devito and the OL to be much better with a year of experience. It is night and day at the OT spots, which are vital against good pass rushers. And Devito certainly knows where he needs to improve, and a new QB coach should help.

And Dino and his new coordinators must be aware of the areas where we need to find help and presumably they will find some in coming months. We desperately need a second QB.  Injuries happen, as we saw in the lost seasons of 2014 and 2015.  We need a WR to replace Tristan Jackson — either a transfer or someone to emerge.  A couple of LBs to fit the new defense and add experience and depth.  It isn’t all about new schemes or play-calling.
