[QUOTE="billsin01, post: 3252170, member: 837"] Yeah -- agreed on all fronts and I do expect devito to be better. Really think one big question for him will be how much of his struggles were related to unrealistic expectations and/or how he was being coached and how we were running our offense. I'm not really sure how to answer that. I agree there may have been unrealistic expectations and he looked overwhelmed at times, which shouldn't come as a surprise for a first-time starter. But then I also didn't feel like I saw many stretches where he was really commanding a game. Maybe at times against WMU or Holy Cross but our best offensive football came in the last three games and coincided with us not asking Tommy to do a whole lot (he was a combined 20-36 for 249 yards) or when he wasn't playing at all (Wake). So, I don't know, I wish I felt more comfortable there but either way it stands to reason that he would improve. And yes, recruiting is a big factor for any team. No question we haven't been incredible here but I also think it's going to be very hard in this day and age of college football to get classes that people on this board will universally be happy with based on stars or offers. We need to find talent in every way -- conventional or otherwise -- develop that talent when it arrives. But recruiting is obviously a key piece and hopefully these guys are an upgrade there.
