three best receivers on the team.

Started, got more snaps than Ishmael.

That needs to be explained to me.

Hell Funderburk was out there before Ishmael, of course he dropped his one and only target and wasn't heard from again.

Many of the playing time decisions are a mystery to me.
I absolutely hate the RB management.

do ish and flemming play the same wr spot? Seems like ish only plays on 1 side of the field

It appeared that he anticipated contact and lost his focus. I believe the announcers said something like "That is a catch your wide receiver has got to make".

I agree about the wide receivers. And, I hate to come down on the OC, but, he has no clue either. Why keep running Gulley up the middle? He goes down easy. Ok if he gets in the open. Ya I know the line is beat up. That's even more reason not to use him. If your gonna run the middle, use the BIG guy, Moore.

If Flemming really is this valuable as a blocker, they should try him out at guard this week.

If the reason he is playing is because he is a good blocker then we really need to re-evaluate who is making these decisions.

Imo, this is on Shafer. He is too "nice and buddy buddy" with his players. Remember all the "cool" pics of players at his pool during the summer? He is a little too friendly and loyal to upperclassmen; now that's not a bad thing but it becomes detrimental when it effects player evaluation. Flemming, Kirkland, these guys should not play ahead of the youngsters, period.
And when decisions get proven wrong, it's sometimes too late to fix. We got lucky last year in that Hunt saved the piss poor decision to start Allen at the beginning of the season; definitely cost us a win vs. PennSt.
A head coach should be like a naval captain; i.e. put the fear of God into his players, not buddy buddy with them. That recruiting visit by Pickard is an example; the Schafers' wine and dine him all friendly like, Wisconsin's head doesn't even bother to be in town...

That's pretty speculative

That's pretty speculative
I don't think it's speculative to say that HCSS shows loyalty to upperclassmen until it becomes quite obvious to all that it was a foolish decision.
Hunt was clearly better than Allen
Ishmael better than every wr except West
Franklin better than Hodge/Arciniega
Murphy better than Norton
Thompson/Johnson better than Welsh/Robinson
Anybody better than all our returners
Anybody better than Jaston George
One that is occurring right now:
Custis better than Moore(maybe even Parris)

Some of that is speculative, too:) Also just b/c some of those are true now, doesn't mean it was necessarilly true in September

I'll maybe give you that Parris is a better blocker...

Wisconsin is a helleva program, but I think we might recruit better if HCSS concentrates a little more on actually coaching rather than being such a "great buddy" to his players...
I would like a little more "respect" and "discipline" as our program's buzz words, rather than "buddy buddy or family."
