My guess is that the NFL will start putting pressure on college to change the hash marks and change the rule for linemen downfield on passes to match the NFL. The NFL badly needs better QBs coming out of college, the trends are all going in the wrong direction for that…pushing for rules changes is a way for the NFL to force college to help fix the problem.  If we see those rules changes in the next five years - the impact of NIL will have contributed to its necessity.
