Something positive about Dome...

Guest Services is great!

I should have posted this last week but I kept forgetting, and since there is another uni-slugfest going on I wanted to post something positive...

Kudos to the folks working in Guest Services at the Dome. Just before halftime at the Villanova game we realized that my youngest daughter probably wouldn't make it through the entire game. I had brought the whole family up from NJ, including my parents, and my Mother volunteered to take her back to the hotel. They went down to Guest Services to see if there was some way to get a taxi back to Armory Square, and they couldn't have been nicer. Not only did they arrange for the taxi, but also offered to help them get to where the taxi would pick them up. Taxis won't pick up near the Dome, so they had to get a few blocks away... Anyway, these folks were truly amazing and loaded them up with posters and such before getting them set on their way.

These folks were really great, and wanted to get them a shout out!

I have to tell you, the people at the dome for the Nova game were overall the nicest I have ever seen them. The usher in 117 kept walking up and down the stairs asking if everyone was ok and if they needed anything. I have been sitting in 117 for four years and had never seen that before.

Really good story. Any steps to improve the fan experience are definitely a good thing.

I sent an email to the folks in Management at the Carrier Dome as well and it was shared at their staff meeting. I agree it is important that the positives are recognized.

Must be our very own D. Bartlett had a wall to wall counselling session with the crew, adjusted a few attitudes and advised everyone that they would be nice from here on out or else, or maybe the people of Syracuse are just good people.
