Something to do with your extra tickets

I live out of state and unfortunately cannont make it to all of our games every year. Despite this I still buy season tickets for a number of reasons. For others that may find themselves in similar situations and not know what to do with their spare tickets, I recently learned that Big Brothers Big Sisters in Syracuse will gladly put them to good use. I spoke with Cathy Griffin there last week and it is not too late to donate Villanova game tickets (including the free ones). Her contact info is below. This is a great way to help our community.

disabled vets would also be a good place to give tickets to. The VA hospital is loaded with kids coming back from the middle east that could use something to help pick up their spirits. Also as a disabled vet myself I know how difficult it is to come up with extra money to go to a game.

Georgetown actually does a good job with this. When they were making people buy 5 games to get the last SU/Georgetown game, their "Hoya Account" page offered "Donate to charity" on the drop-down menu (along with "Print at home," "Transfer to friend," etc.). I think the charity was the local Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Perhaps someone in the ticket office could work with Cathy on setting up something similar.

Yes, they are. I get a letter each year which includes their TIN/EIN. It helps offset the cost of your tickets (face price only). More importantly, you allow a kid to catch a game from your seat, making for a special day and possibly helping grow a lifelong fan. Win, win, win.
