if we would be better off against the better teams just playing aggressive D at the end.
i know its worked out well much of the time.. but given the large amount of time, just play the trap, protect the rim and force a fast shot inside the 3 somewhere.. if they make it you still have 4-5 secs to get a shot. but there is also a good chance it wasnt a wide open stand still shot if you are flying around trapping.. also the chance the person knows they are trying to take the last shot and freezes a bit no matter where he shooting thinking maybe i should hold it a bit?

had we not collapsed but let the PG just shoot the early 15ft maybe he makes it but we still have time and its not the easiest of shots on the run either

We got the earlier shot against Pitt and didn't get the rebound. Outside of Kadary not going under the screen not sure what else their is. Bad shooter made a long shot instead of a good guard making one or all conference center getting the board.

Honestly Virginia was getting better and better looks in the half court as the game progressed. I would’ve tried to throw them off a bit. Don’t let them get into their standard sets.

The Art of War would agree with you 100%. Will never happen but I think it would absolutely be +EV

Play to win instead of not to lose?
