Somewhat OT but some stuff going down at University of Illinois

Don't know what to think here as the players have filed a $$ 10,000,000 lawsuit where that alone is an incentive to become parrots of repeating the same crap over and over. I know for a fact that lot's of players refuse to report injuries as it becomes ingrained with them long before arriving on campus.

hearsay at this point as I think most coaches are fully aware of what not to say to players that are very unhappy about playing time they think they are entitled too

I have no idea about the women's hoop coach but Beckman is a pr**k and none of the allegations would surprise me in the least. I have no clue how the guy is still their coach. One 6-7 finish with all this other stuff should equal his dismissal

at least cubit sometimes gets good qb play. it's all over the place, it's not a reliable system compared to others but there are some good years in there (top 20-40 in efficiency). that's the only hope for lester but it's tempered by the last 2 years. and i'd feel better if elmhurst's qbs were more efficient

On a somewhat tangential note, I saw my nephew and a friend of his last week. Both are U of I grads. His friend asked me if we still had Nancy as our chancellor. I told he no that she's gone. His reaction was, "Good for you guys. We hated her here at Illinois."

I hear ya. Although it's prob too early to say Lester can't get good QB play. Didn't have a ton of talent to work with - next season (if he makes it that far) is where we really see what he can do. Not giving him a pass for Hunt this year...

There's always two-sides to every story, but there's also no shortage of sh!tty coaches who have a God complex.

Thank god she is gone from Syracuse too. Not a good hire IMO

Bruce Weber [former Illinois head basketball coach, current KSU coach] had a similarly funny exchange with Jim Boeheim after SU hired her away from Illinois.

When Cantor's name came up in discussion, Weber told Boeheim: "She's your problem now."
