Probably not something most of want to watch but I thought it was interesting. Discovery Investigation (DirecTV 285) has a show called Fatal Vows. At 8pm it's about Tommy Kane.

deval glover, donnie mac are featured in it with Mac offering some insight into Kanes circumstances and mindset. Had a run in (in retrospect scary run in) with Kane in 2001 with my then girlfriend now wife.

Saw him at a bar on one of his visits back in Syracuse. Being the sychophant Cuse fan I am I thanked him for the great memories at SU he gave us. Chatted then about his post SU career but forgot his NFL time and mentioned only his CFL time. Big mistake. Could see he was insulted. Next thing you know he's making innappropriate moves and words toward the mrs. Get in his face and say let's go Kane. Thankfully at 6'2" and a (then) in shape 230lbs he was taken a bit aback and lucky for me given what transpired since one of his friends pulled him out of the situation. Not my finest moment.

Whoa! I had a semi-similar encounter with Marrone's rapist buddy Tom Watson back when I was a senior on Homecoming. Long story but basically rapist was being a jackass at a bar and I gave him a look that said"you are an ahole" so he was ready to start something. I think he was on probation so his buddies calmed him down. Ah the memories. I wonder when they will show the Tommy episode again would like to see it

Tom Watson

Whoa! I remember that . He got busy with my girlfriend. He was quite a bit bigger than me so when I found out I just let him have that Gamma Phi Beta skank. I should have had my buddy Turnell Sims beat his ass. Ah...memories.

Tom Watson? I don't remember that name...I assume he played at SU in the 80's and isn't the golfer.

You assume correctly on both counts. There was a big furor on campus after he was given just a 5 game suspension by Chancellor Eggers for sexual misconduct. Watson was charged with rape but a grand jury didn't indict him. He ended up pleading guilty to sexual misconduct before another grand jury could get his case. Coach Mac did nothing because he technically didn't violate student conduct policy so Eggers stepped in. Very ugly situation.

we'll there you have it, I'd be pissed too at the no nothing Syracuse fan.:noidea:

Surely Kane is doing an extra 100 benches a day in the courtyard thinking about you!

I remember it well for another reason but coach mac could have done somthing. It was his program

Agree completely. That was the biggest furor of all back then, deservedly so

Still, he made one of the best catches I've ever seen for a td against PSU in 1987.

He may have been a murderer...but he was OUR murderer...and an All American.

Tommy was a client of mine for a civil case. I enjoyed his company every time we met. His fall surprised and saddened me.

LOL. I'd be looking to relocate

You know who beat the crap out of someone and had it buried by Mac several years earlier? Saint Doug Marrone. He owes everything he has today to Mac as he should have been arrested and possibly thrown out of school. A lot of roids and alcohol in the program at the time. Later Tommy had issues with other substances.

Roids and alcohol. That was the key to our success back then, and it should be implemented now.

Did Doug have that in his binder when he interviewed at SU? I totally forgot about Saint Doug beating up someone. Once a bully...
