Maybe by "inconsistent job" he meant he'd been forced out. Maybe not. Bowden apparently was forced out but he was 79 and in three of his last four years they were 7-6. Zero chance Boeheim gets forced out for being on the bubble. As long as attendance stays relatively close to what it is and the program is still bringing in the bucks, the bubble isn't very important.
