Filled a roster with 13 active scholarship basketball players. Walkons, Injuey Redshirts and Transfer Redshirts don't count.

I went back to the mid 90s and the only roster I see that even gets to 12 (1997-98), requires you to consider a football player who I assume received a scholarship through the football program (Malik Campbell).

JB seems to rarely have more than 11 active (meaning not sitting out) scholarship players. But, that makes perfect sense given that he rarely utilizes more than 8/9 guys in a rotation. Be hard to keep 4/5 scholarship quality players happy sitting on the bench with no hope of getting in games.

We had 12 in 2004-05

I only see 11 on that roster:

Gmac
McCroskey
Pace
Warrick
Forth
TRoberts
Nichols
Watkins
Edelin
Josh Wright
Dayshawn Wright

I think Gaines, Diliegro, Brooks, Burach and Gabriel were all walk-ons, weren't they?

1992 - 1993 we had a big roster, 14 scholarship players, but 2 redshirted.

Autry
Hopkins
Moten
Wallace
McRae
Luke Jackson
Sekunda
Siock
Edwards
Laz Sims
McCorkle
Reafsnyder

Also
Otis Hill - redshirt freshman
Anthony Harris - redshirt sophomore

Matt Gorman... Or did he sit out that year?

2012
Scoop
Triche
Joseph
Fair
Melo
Waiters
Southerland
Christmas
Keita
MCW
Mookie
Cooney-redshirt
We had 12.
So I can’t find a year without really looking.

I thought redshirts still count against the scholarship limit.

They do, but I think the original poster's question was getting at when has JB had 13 scholarship players available to use?

One important note about having 13 scholarship players.

Players 12 and 13 are probably going to suck.

If they are good, think they are ready and aren’t patient, locker room could be a definite issue resulting in discontent, transfers etc result.

Wonder if the cost of SU has affected the quality of the walk ons. Our walk ons appear mainly to be small guards. The better the walk on the better practices are. Wish some beefy big guys would walk on.

Seems like we used to always have a football player join the team. What happened to that?

Tuten, McNabb, Campbell, Gaines, Williams are some that come to mind.
