Coaches have a lot of soul searching to do. Two absolute drubbings in the past two weeks. An offensive line that is leading the disaster. They have to look hard at themselves and see if they can figure it out or mail it in this year and try to fix the OLine by imploding it and waiting until next year, if they even have solutions.

This is looking rapid like a lost season. Almost full rebuild because they don’t have the oline foundation required to compete at this level.

Calling this one a "drubbing" is a stretch. The D did an admirable job. The offense just (really, really) sucks right now...a combination of bad oline and a QB that isnt ready for primetime yet. Good news is we have Western Mich, Holy Cross and then a bye week. A good time for the team to lick its wounds, the offense to work on alot of things and build some confidence prior to ACC play.

Not sure about a lot of the assistants on this staff. Shaping up to be as "crony filled" as Scott Schafer's lineup...

Yeah lumping this game in with Maryland, at least our D, is silly. Clemson does this to everyone. Texas A&M is an excellent team and they did squat last week. Next week will tell me a lot about TD. WMU is not good defensively at all. Tommy and the OL need to pick it up, quickly

We lost by 43 and 35 the past two weeks while not being remotely competitive in either game. They were drubbings.

Naaaa. Tonight wasn't a drubbing. The D was competitive with their O all game. Our offense just the bed (turnovers, inability to score and get long, sustained drives) and only so much the D could do.

We were VERY competitive in this game.

Until TD threw that unconscionable INT.

That was the ballgame.
There was a flash of opportunity that we blew. I’m not sure what game you were watching but the one I saw we were getting beat at every aspect of the game.

Sure, the defense was better than what they displayed last week against Maryland, but let’s be real, it couldn’t have been much worse than last week.

I see a very bad football product on the field right now. I hope they can figure it out quickly, but I’m starting to have my doubts. We didn’t look this bad last year, other than perhaps the Notre Dame game. They’ve taken a very large step back. Oline is obviously the biggest issue, but there are other concerns.

Naw. Play calling was awful. Tommy tried his best. No one open downfield and not enough screens and short passes called to negate the blitz. Our offense is not getting good play calling or guidance

We lost 41-6 at home. Are we that pathetic we cant acknowledge this was a drubbing?

If we get that early TD that wasn't because of a drop and penalty and take advantage of the two turnovers that gave us the ball deep in their end the game looks very different. Those are very few impact plays out of about 150. Clemson made plays on offense that we couldn't but our defense kept us in the game as long as they could. They didn't just look better, they looked very solid. Clemson will make plays on any defense. They're too talented not too. This game felt very different than Maryland. There is no explanation for the defensive egg that was laid against them.

Our offense just isn't very good. We have a QB that is not yet comfortable with an oline that puts him in crummy situations and recievers that give him little help.
