For those who don't follow the NFL, the Rams have been mediocre-to-atrocious over the past decade.  They haven't had a winning season since 2003, and are a tidy 57-119 over the past 11 seasons.

The population of the metro St. Louis area is 2.8 million people.

I get that our attendance is lacking, and that as diehards we'd all like to see it be better since it can impact our ability to recruit.

But the people of CNY and our alumni are hardly unique in their behavior.  Teams that are mediocre-to-bad over an extended amount of time simply do not draw.
