BEST: Everything about the NCAA tournament. It’s not a real controversial opinion to say that the NCAA tournament is great, but still. The tournament involves pretty much anything that makes sports awesome. You can go right down the list:

BEST: Everything about the NCAA tournament. It’s not a real controversial opinion to say that the NCAA tournament is great, but still. The tournament involves pretty much anything that makes sports awesome. You can go right down the list:
- Widespread gambling, so everyone is invested.
- Everyone watches the same games at the same time, a communal experience that really only happens with award shows and the Super Bowl.
- Underdogs everywhere.
- Everything is an elimination game.
- College athletes making mistakes and missing free throws, which helps keeps those elimination games closer than they should be.
- Pep bands.
- Outstanding mascots.
- Drunk college students.
- Bill Raftery.
- Twelve hours of uninterrupted basketball, with staggered start times so you can just watch the final six to eight minutes of every game and still not really miss anything crucial.
- An excuse to ignore work, or just skip out entirely.
- An excuse to eat horrible food for two straight four-day weekends.
