I'm tempted to watch this game, just because some small part of me hopes Florida Southern is the bizarro-world version of USF. Like, pale with the scars and the backwards 'S' and the bad grammar and everything.

The Florida Southern Mocs. It's my father's alma mater. They have a great D-2 sports program. Some famous alumni are Lee Jantzen, Rocco Mediate and Brett Tomko. Also it's a beautiful campus in Lakeland, Fl designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Lots of very interesting buildings.

Beautiful and Lakeland, FL...two things that typically do not go together.

Of course, I've never been to Florida Southern's campus.

The only problem is that SFU is about 70 years older than USF. So maybe USF is bizarro SFU

The bizarro part is that the D-2 school is the home team. USF is going on the road to play a D-2 school. Wow. Do they know they are in the Big East and that Big East schools don't go on the road to play out of conference games, especially when playing a D-2 school.

I wonder if USF received a guarantee to play in Lakeland. Ha!!!

Considering it's about 20 minutes from their campus, they probably got $100 for gas money for the bus.

I thought Seton Hall playing at Longwood and Jersey State playing at Stony Brook was bad.

Rutgers University plays the State University of New York at Stony Brook inside Madison Square Garden, not on the Stony Brook campus.
