Sparty goes down in OT, and Xavier down double-digits to Creighton.

I'm not a Mich St fan but that foul that Valentine got called on with about 5 seconds was really iffy.

Purdue is pretty good - they were the slight favourite at home -- heck of a game.

The tournament is gonna be cray cray. That 1st weekend is gonna destroy brackets
Yeah, it might be just as well I haven't been working so missed last year's pool and this one too. Although if I get a hunch the Orange will win it all I might contact the guy who runs the pool. I won it when we went to Atlanta and it paid back my trip there.

That should NOT have been called. If anything, the screener went pretty far out of his way to hip check Valentine.

That oddity is followed by Michigan State conceding the game by not fouling down 1 with a chance to do so and give themselves about 3 seconds...weird.

That being said, I thought Michigan State got some huge calls in their favor. When it was getting slightly out of hand in the first half the officials handed Michigan State a 6 point possession. Michigan State bulldozed some due on Purdue (went over the back) to grab a rebound, then kicked out for a made three...they called a crap foul on Purdue while the shot was in the air, so Michigan State then got the ball out of bounds and they quickly nailed another three. Definitely changed the entire first half - huge momentum shift.

That was a great game. Purdue is more than pretty good as well. As good a frontline as there is...up there with UNC. If the guards make their 3s then Purdue is going to be a really tough out.
