Sounds like a fun day for all involved! The IHOP part makes me sad though. So many great (non-chain) diners in CNY. I'm sure many of us here could recommend a few. I'm assuming you're eating in Syracuse, since I don't recall an IHOP in Ithaca. What about Mom's on Westcott? It's an integral part of the S.U. experience and much closer to the Dome. A trip to Marshall & Manny's is a must, but don't forget to stop into the University Bookstore in Schine. You walk right past it on the way up the hill from Marshall. I'll echo an earlier poster's recommendation to stop on the quad and visit the Ernie Davis statue. He's an inspiration to all of us, but especially to any young people that have had to overcome adversity. I'd stick around for the lax game (S.U. beating up on G'town in ANY sport is fun), but your crew might be getting antsy after that many hours in the Dome. Pizza: lots of good places on Marshall. My personal favorite based on quality of the pie has always been Cosmo's, but Varsity is definitely a unique experience post-game (more so with football and the traditional post-win banner flip). You could also return to Westcott and try Dorian's. Assuming you park in the University garage or an adjacent lot, the above is a pretty efficient use of your time too. University garage, Marshall shops, Schine Bookstore, Quad/Ernie Davis statue, and Dome are all pretty much in a straight line up the hill.
