Nice, now go get a new TV.
32nd best ILB? Is that what it means? Spruill is a beast and much better than that ranking.
my buddy from SU just signed marquis. He works for Flacco's agent.

I'm going to go ahead and say you're wrong on that being a jersey number, considering a center is listed as 3 and a receiver is listed as 71. And the alphabetical order thing doesn't make a whole lot of sense considering B is 71 and H is 3.Well i can state with pretty solid fact, that 32 ILBs have never been drafted in one draft before. So I am assuming that Spruill is wearing #32 this week. Second thing I can think of, is that at the combine all players get a # based on alphabetical order so that scouts can see who is who more easily. If they do the same thing for this all-star game, he could be LB #32 in that sense, although it seems an awful lot of LBs for one week and one game.
Most importantly, it makes me think Spruill has a shot to get drafted a little higher than the 7th round. assuming of course McShay is not totally off base with NFL scouts (he isn't exactly the most in-tune guy of the "media" scouts)
I am assuming this is for the East-West Shrine game that is going to be played on Saturday on NFLN for all able to watch

So yes, he's the #32 ranked ILB in the ESPN rankings. That's what happens when you're a 6-1, 215 middle linebacker.

makes sense. i was referring to the practice jersey like they wear in the nfl combine. they #32 ILB would be written on his practice jerseyHe's wearing number 54 according to this: http://collegiate.nflpa.com/2014rosters/
Not if it's his ESPN rank - which at this point we should accept it is - it wouldn't. I'm not positive but I believe the combine numbers are based on alphabetical order. These clearly are not.makes sense. i was referring to the practice jersey like they wear in the nfl combine. they #32 ILB would be written on his practice jersey
My impression is while it's great for Spruill, what it means is that this is a second or third tier all-star game.So what exactly does this mean?

You think he's better suited to a 3-4? Aren't the LB's in a 3-4 typically bigger than in a 4-3, especially when the outside guys are often pass rushers? When it's all said and done, Spruill will end up being perceived as the #10 OLB in the draft IMO. His size is a major issue, especially in 4-3's. He's better suited to move outside in the NFL in a 3-4, but isn't great in coverage.
However, London Fletcher was a 5-11 MLB at 245. If Spruill can put on some weight and keep most of his speed, he could play MLB in the NFL. Just needs someone to take a shot on him. Would love to see the Giants take a flyer on him.
