goes ape in opener. I certainly got a lot of satisfaction watching Trevor stick shakey potatoes in the mouths of all those who have been his detractors since he first got here. Doubting a kid like Cooney is also taking a swipe at the judgement of JB and the coaching staff. Some kids don't pan out but I think that Trevor Cooney clearly wasn't for even so much as a nanosecond in danger of falling into that category.
Gmac had his back and that's good enough for me any day of the week. I've long had a hunch that before his playing days at SU are over Trevor is going to carve out quite a legacy for himself as one of those 4 year program type kids who leaves an indelible mark on the program and provides consistency and leadership. With his redshirt year Trevor could be one of the rare players who is in the program for 5 years. You can bet that Duke fans are going to be really sick and tired of hearing TREVVOOOR COOOOONEY!!!!! for THREEEEEE! by the last time he laces them up for the ORANGE.
Congratulations to Trevor Cooney for having his break-out game and showing everyone what a great talent he is and for his hard work and fierce determination while showing the ability of transforming adversity into success. That is the thing that Champions are made of! Well done Trevor!!!!
Rakeem Christmas also had a few things to demonstrate to those who have been quick to throw him under the bus from time to time as well. Nice game RAK!~
