St Francis beat the "U" last night.

thanks for the hit to the league's rpi

Not a great night for the ACC...

Providence beat BC.

UCONN beat Maryland.

Wake Forest STRUGGLED with Colgate.

And Miami, who lost seemingly everyone off last year's team, lost to St. Francis.

All bad for the league's rep and RPI.

They lost their best players from last season. Not shocking they won't be good this season. Their coach did a great job with them last season and Shane Larkin led that team like real point guards should. I'm not going to blast them for a bad loss after their great season last year.

I had them winning it all last year, just thought they played a great game of basketball and they were a well oiled machine heading into the tournament.

And yes, that loss sucks for us and the rest of the ACC rpi wise.

Miami also lost to Indiana st last year. Bad losses happen.

Wow, no good - that's a murderer's row of mid-majors right there. :(

I couldn't even the name conferences any of those teams are in outside of Providence (Big East). :)

We play St Francis in Hawaii. Now we won't take them lightly. We may be in Hawaii, but JB will let our guys know it won't be a day at the beach.

Been saying over on the ACC College Sports Nation board that it will take a couple of years before the synergy of the new teams in the league and the opening up of new recruiting areas for the current dregs of ACC basketball to take effect. By 2015-16 or 2016-17 the ACC will be as good, probably better than the Big East of 2008-09 through last year.

Cheers,
Neil

Like how the Big East helped Rutgirls?
