And they destroyed providence. And yet providence was down 1 with a minute left on the road against gtown, who are 1 of the surprise teams in the country this year. We beat seton hall by 30, they just beat a top 10 uconn team by 20.

I agree 100% with whoever said after us, the big east is a complete clusterf**k

Note to St John's coaching staff: time to give up the stupid "white sneakers and no tie" look.

I realize they adopted that look after their big win over Duke last year, but that "good luck charm" ship has sailed.

That's why they dress like that? I thought they just weren't fashion savvy and needed that Extreme Makeover guy to help.

Here's a link.

It's possible they are keeping up the look because of Lavin's fight with cancer (the look was adopted in the Coaches vs. Cancer game last year), but they originally kept the look up because of they went on a good run with the look.

That was one of the worst first halves I have ever seen. They missed 26 out of 27 shots at one point.

I'm going to remember that half next time someone tells me the NBA is unwatchable. Though the bulls are doing their best to match that. 37 points with 3 min left in Q3.

Its unpredictable, I agree. And I would guess it just comes down to match-ups between these teams. Most of the teams in the BE have one or two guys on the team that they depend on - a bad match-up can quickly neutralize these threats and make other members of the team to pick up more of the responsibility. Doesn't always work out when this happens.

Then you take SU and WE are a horrible match-up for most any team in the country. It doesn't seem to matter who goes on the court, we just click and perform at a high level. I agree with JB that there are things we need to work on to become as good as we can be, but we just have so many pieces that we have the flexibility to create mis-matches ... or just tire out the other teams starters :)
