it makes moneyI mean, this has to be another nail in the coffin of the NIT. Why even have it anymore?

I assume declining an NIT invitation also removes you from the first alternate list of replacement teams.
i think teams had to notify the ncaa by wednesday or thurday of last week of there intentions
That's how I interpreted it, as well. I would actually be surprised if none of these alternate teams were activated.I assume declining an NIT invitation also removes you from the first alternate list of replacement teams.
Louisville was first out. We were 6th last in the committee thought we were clearly better.maybe Louisville opting out of nit swayed committee to vote us ahead of them
Try to hold the COVID this time, you cross eyed mules.

The way I read it, a replacement can be brought in only through Tuesday. If any team tests positive after that, their next game will be "No Contest", and their opponent advanced to the next round. How do replacement teams work? Is it just for first weekend? after that, if theres a covid forfeit, does the other team just advance?
For instance, a team in the elite 8 gets covid
Not this year.it makes money

Team only needs five healthy players to play, so I would expect very few forfeits.the other team just advances.
