From 2010-2019, the state of California won seven championships in the four major pro sports leagues. Massachusetts was second with six. Missouri was a surprising third with four (I’m including the Chiefs). Texas, Pennsylvania, and Illinois were next with three apiece. Maryland also with three if you count DC. Here’s the complete list:
1. California - 7 (Warriors x3, LA Kings x2, Giants x2)
2. Massachusetts - 6 (Red Sox x2, Bruins, Pats x3)
3. Missouri - 4 (Cardinals, Royals, Blues, Chiefs)
4. Texas - 3 (Mavs, Spurs, Astros)
4. Pennsylvania - 3 (Penguins x2, Eagles)
4. Illinois - 3 (Blackhawks x2, Cubs)
4. Maryland - 3 (Ravens, Caps, Nats)
