25 first quarter points, 7/8 from deep. Look out Wilt!

Btw, the series where Wall went personal foul defending Curry, personal foul on the charge that Curry drew and then the tech... I mean, that meltdown was nuclear.

Steph is just destroying people out here.

10 now. He might not break Wilt's record, but the nba record for threes in a game is twelve. End of third quarter.

I'd love to see him play a full 48 minutes against a weak defensive team to see how many he can score. We haven't seen a player who can score the rock like this since...ever?

Edit: FYI, I'm 24 so I can't speak on players of the old school guys!

Kobe had that eighty pointer five years back. He is one of the two that hit twelve.

i dont think ive ever seen a player like curry (im 37). can shoot like bird. can handle it like isiah. can pass like magic. can finish with left or right hand. unbelievable player

The only thing I would change is he can shoot like...no one that has ever played before.

I want a game against a terrible team where he just decides to shoot 50 3's to see what happens.

Last night I was trying to think of what player in NBA history is most similar to him, and I was honestly having trouble coming up with someone.

Curry had a pass the other night where he was going to his left to the hoop and threw a left handed overheard pass to Thompson in stride who buried the three. I couldn't recall seeing anyone ever throwing a pass like that with their offhand

Just the combination of handle and shooting is nearly impossible to replicate. Granted I think he's the greatest shooter of all time, so no one can match up to him, but even setting that aside, most of the great shooters don't have the handle he does, and vice versa. Maybe Steve Nash?

I hate that for the rest of time people will list the guys drafted ahead of him as a punch line (a list that includes Jonny Flynn.)

What about the college coaches that passed on him. Dude had a tough time getting a scholarship. I think VT wanted him to walk on.

His release is so fast at this point that the form looks off until they slow it down so you can see how pure it is. Its like he stops dribbling and the ball is gone at the same time. The guys game has grown unbelievably over the last few seasons and he doesn't seem to have peaked yet.

ESPN has Curry has the 23rd greatest player ever, ahead of Pippen (25th) and Elgin Baylor (24th). That seems a little ridiculous to me -- Curry is incredible, but he's only been a truly elite player for a couple years.

23 is too low. Yes he's only been elite for a few years but his peak is greater than any other peak ever. That's worth more than a couple seasons being very good.

How high would you put him?
