Look at the class and experience of the guys on the defensive depth chart who are getting a lot of snaps. That's the story of the season and really the difference between 3-4 and 6-1. Shafer and the staff absolutely make questionable in-game decisions, but our record is due to youth - 19-play game tying/winning drives by the opponent in consecutive weeks.
I see the talent level upgraded and a lot of returning starters for 2016, and this staff deserves credit for that. No reason to make a coaching change because a young team can't finish games like so many young teams before them. If this team is as talented as many here think, these mistakes are much rarer next year and the close losses turn into close wins. We know Shafer & staff can coach defense and I expect considerable improvement next year on both sides of the ball.
