With two weeks off between games absolutely nothing new to show for the next game. A halfback pass, a reverse, a flea flicker, something different. Certainly no guarantees for success, but why not?

Clock management. In the Louisville game; behind 13 to 0 near the end of the first half.  Ball at midfield. 3rd and six. 2:13 on the clock after a completed pass and we change personnel and waste a full 39 seconds to get the next play off with three time outs available. Third down fails. Louisville calls time out. We don't punt and fail on 4th down. Louisville takes over with less than a minute and a half on the clock and march to a score.

The NC State game.  Down to the very end.  30 seconds left.  State calls timeout.  You must have gamed that situation in practice.  You must have the next two plays called. You discuss all possibilities. You stress not getting sacked.  It wasn't Rex's fault.  It was the sideline's.

I know.  It was the covid, the dropouts, the injuries.  It limited what we could do.

On the other hand, remember that first press conference?  There was a boast of not having a playbook.

Maybe that's why they said the freshman QBs couldn't master it.

Let's all hope they've found one for this year.
