Feel bad for the young man. I had confidence in him to bring us a great season. But can someone remind me why I had such confidence? Just because I was thinking about how I felt in the 3rd qtr of the Uconn game. He looked pretty terrible to be honest. He for sure showed guts and promise in the 4th and looked pretty good against ^Colgate. Didn't do poorly against Tenn. But going into the Clemson game I had ...oh boy, damnit "faith" in Angeli "belief without 'much' evidence" Yea he was the leading passer in the dang nation but to me that was sneaky, surprising at least to me... To me...this makes it easy for me to believe very strongly that we have one of best OCs and Offensive systems out there. One of the best QB coaches/assistants that all work together very well with the right HC that leads in a way to make it all max out, bet. We had good evidence that Nixon was top tier as an OC, we have been told as much. Lets see how we do with Collins, or any other QB that could play. Clearly there is talent there but that doesn't mean automatic success. These kids need great coaching, good/the right systems, plays that set them up for success, comfortability. Our coaches will get him/them there. Repetitions are always mentioned but they are so valuable, with reps the game begins to slow down in the mind, the more ya see, the more you know, the better ya get and chemistry is formed, creative/positive lil things happen. Resulting in instinctive actions, the thought process is done, you now dictate the speed of the game. Confidence comes. Not to mention the supporting cast of players are loaded up. WRs, TEs, RBs, OL. 2 deep def has only given up like 50 pts in the last 14 qtrs. Hmmm, long story short...we good, we have talented players & Coaches. Next man up...Angeli can still be a valuable leader this year. Ok...the end. Edible snuck up on me here, blast from the past like 1993, Im ready to play for these coaches.
