so i could be wrong, but i believe it has been stated that the video is not inconsistent with what Ray Rice told the NFL and Ravens. That said i believe they got it right the second time, but in theory the video shouldn't change the Ravens view because they already knew what happened. Bottomline they were fine with the punishment and to allow him to play this year as long as the general public never saw the video. This punishment has less to do with what Ray did and more to do with their inability to hide from what Ray did. I am not saying i don't agree with the end result, but it think it is hugely disingenuous for them to act like their mind was changed by the video, their minds were changed by the publics access to the video. Two completely different things.

He should have put his mouth where his money is and faced the press yesterday, rather than send his head coach out to take the heat.
The claim by the team and the league that they made serious efforts to obtain the video seems, at the least, disingenuous.
The Casino was in financial trouble when the incident happened and believe me the casino wanted no bad publicity what so ever so they might have even tried to bury it with the blessing of the Ravens, Rice and even the NFL. Now that the casino went belly up someone made a copy in advanced and just cashed in part of their retirement plan with no strings attached.
