Still think Cuse can do some damage this year

Feel horrible for Chris and wish him the best. He will come back stronger and we will be top 10 next year (Joseph, Cooney, Chris, Roberson and DaJuan with Mike G, Malachi, Diagne, and hopefully Bryant off the bench).

However, this year we can still make a run in March. We've got the inside and outside game going and Mike G is playing like an all conference contender. Roberson will do nothing but improve with the additional minutes and can rebound with anyone. Joseph improving and if he can offer anything on offense we become much more dangerous. Defense is top notch. Hopefully BJ can get it going and give more on offense than he sacrifices on defense. Just remember, ugly wins count the same as pretty ones in March. Win enough to get in and this March we are the hunter

Right -- Rak, Cooney & G have to stay healthy and out of foul trouble for every winnable game. Will be a big challenge against teams that have inside strength.

In the post above, G is playing close to an all-conference level (I agree -- fills the stat line every time out), and next year he comes off the bench?

We're more than capable of putting up a great run in the tourney. If Cooney gets hot, G contributes solidly, KJ keeps doing what he's doing and doesn't turn it over, and Rak is a beast we can be real tough to beat. Problem is almost all of those things need to happen at once. The other problem is that we're a whistle happy ref away from losing almost any game if Rak sits early.

Agree with this. I think our starting 5 can compete with a lot of teams. We just have no answer if we face foul trouble or further injuries.

our only real depth now is Patterson in the backcourt and BJ on the wing
