So I guess leading with the crown of the helmet doesn't apply?it very clearly was not a targeting penalty. Dungey was a runner and was not defenseless, as defined by the rule.
It isn't even controversial. Clear cut no targeting penalty there.
Targeting and Initiating Contact With the Crown of the Helmet (Rule 9-1-3)
No player shall target and initiate contact against an opponent with the crown (top) of his helmet. When in question, it is a foul.
It also screwed us out of a timeout.
Dungey should have stayed down so we could have gotten Mahoney out there.
Officials were garbage all game. Going both ways.
Mahoney did go out there. Dungey went to the locker room.
