On the plus side, FSU hasn't played a complete game yet. Against LSU it was the 2nd half where they went off. BC was a missed XP from taking the game to OT. Clemson was a short FG from maybe not even getting to OT. They raced out to a 3 TD lead on VT in the 1st quarter, but that was suddenly a 5 point game in the 3rd Q.

On the minus side, teams tend to put together their best effort against us. See Tigers, Clemson and Tar Heels, North Carolina.

I would never bet against Cuse so I am laying off this one

I was in Vegas and I bet against Syracuse when they played against West Virginia in 2000 as a 3.5 point favorite. Team was trailing 27-24, got the ball back late in the 4th Qtr and scored the game winning touchdown to win 31-27. That entire drive was awful, I wasn’t sure what the hell I should be rooting for.

I largely avoid betting on Syracuse games and never bet against Syracuse after that game, and strongly encourage fellow fans not to do anything that stupid.

They say experience is what you get when you don’t get what you want; I’m still not sure what I wanted on that last drive but know I came out of it with more experience. I suspect that was going to be true regardless of the outcome.

(On the plus side, on that same trip I was at Studio 54 on Halloween when people were coming in costumes, and the place was loaded with uncreative female “entertainers” who had come in their “work uniform”. That was an awesome, awesome night).

Unless we play error free ball. Less than 5 penalties and win the turnover battle we will loose by 25 or more points.

If we play like we care and avoid injuries I will take it. If we roll over early and get stomped I will be really worried that the wheels are going to come off, even with the weak schedule after FSU. Teams who give up can lose to anyone

positivity feeds on itself.. Block the punt and run it in 7-3 and energy in the team.. Block it and gets run back with a blown replay call and down hill it goes..

Same with Clemson.. Bad start then a fumble, then claw your way back in.. miss a FG. drop INTs all things that change the flow of the game.

The lack of ability on to finish off 3rd downs wears a team down.

We need to start making plays on 3rd down to get off the field.
