A study of in state schools keeping the four & five star recruits in state shows the following

Sample test 2009-2011

Nebraska schools were 3 for 3

Wisconsin schools were 4 for 4

Alabama 29 of 33 (88%)

Michigan 18 of 24 (75%)

on the bottom of the report were UConn, Hawaii, Kentucky & New York which was 0 of 5

If you would like the entire report inbox me

I'd be interested in the numbers from our primary out of state recruiting areas - at least NJ, PA and maybe MD, OH, and VA, plus FLA (just to see the staggering number of 4 and 5 stars from that state).

After many years of watching the recruiting process, I am not sure that NY should ever have a kid rated 5 stars. They're just not as ready as kids from other "factory" states where the atmosphere and training are different (FL, TX, CA, etc.) 5 stars means to me that you can come in and be a significant contributor as a true freshman, on any team in the country.

NJ keeps 22.7% 5 of 22

Pa 50% 14 of 28

MD 19.2% 5 of 26

Oh 41.3% 19 of 46

Va 50% 15 of 30

Fl 48.8% 78 of 16o
