This year we’ll probably lose Georgia Woolley, Kyra Wood, Saniaa Wilson, Izabel Varejao and Dominique Camp who have all played 4 years unless the NCAA’s talk about extending college eligibility to 5 years comes to fruition for women’s basketball. Most of these players came only because of their previous association with Coach Jack herself, not the lure of playing for SU and getting big NIL money. I have stayed positive believing in Coach Jack but worried about the program’s future if she can’t get the financial support now necessary to have a competitive program. She is active in the community, a great ambassador for the university, an honored SU alum herself and  if she fails, the university, alumni, the community and fans should look inward for the reasons. What successful coach would come here when an SU icon herself can’t guarantee the money necessary to lure big time recruits? I wish I was rich or owned a successful company to donate more but I do donate and stay positive about what SU and Felisha‘s coaching skills offers to top recruits.
