After posting the third-fastest 10,000-meter time in school history, and eighth fastest nationally so far this season at the Stanford Invitational this weekend, Syracuse's [URL='http://cuse.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=12587'][U]Shaylyn Tuite[/U][/URL] has been named ACC Performer of the Week.

She finished the 10k in 32:22.04 this weekend, which is the top-time of any ACC runner this season in the event.

Tuite, a Pittsford, N.Y. native has come on strong during her junior campaign, having concluded her indoor season at the ACC Championships with a fourth place finish and personal best time of 16:15.53 in the 5k.

Tuite also had an excellent cross country season, taking 55th at the NCAA Championships, helping lead the Orange to an 11th-place finish, which was the second-highest finish in program history.

The Stanford Invitational was the first outdoor race of the season for the Orange, with the teams set to continue action at either the Miami Hurricane Invitational or Princeton's Sam Howell Invitational this weekend.
