The difference in this game compared to several of the recent losses, was Laila Phelia's 38 points and Sophie Burrows going 7-8 from the three point range! When Dom is turning the ball over and not scoring, she needs to be subbed out for LIv. Our half court offense has been stagnant for much of the season with Dom at the point. I like Laila initiating the offense as the primary ball handler for stretches especially when the offense is struggling. With her handling the ball, her backcourt mate needs to be an outside shooting threat along with Burrows. Imagine what this offense could look like with Phelia playing close to how she played today, Sophie hitting from deep and another 3 point shooter on the floor. That shooter could be Maddy Potts.if she starts hitting her shot...or Schmidt...if she starts making her shot.
