If it's from Cake Boss, it probably tasted like ass. That's what I've heard about his cakes from people I know. That and they are ridiculously overpriced.

Carlo's is just a standard NJ Italian bakery. Not bad, but not spectacular. Since they started the TV show, locals can't go in there anymore for a pound of cookies or a cup of coffee because half of Iowa is lined up outside, waiting to get in everyday.

Bought one of Cake Boss's cookbooks for my 11 year old because he really likes the show. Made the donut recipe. Now granted, I'm not a chef, but the instructions and ingredients were hard to screw up. With that said, the donuts were just plain bad.
