Didn't see this article in OE's excellent binge of SU related materials. This article is hilarious and should come from the mouth of Marinatto and Tranghese rather than SU-alum Kevin McNamara.

LOL Thank you Dr. Gross and Nancy Cantor for getting us out of this incompetently led conference.

LOL this stuff is hilarious Providence College has been the beneficiary of welfare BCS money from the Big East basketball contract and have contributed exactly 0 NCAA appearances since 2001 and they have incompetently wasted over 6 million dollars on Keno Davis and if the Big East blows up their recruiting ability will be severely watered down without UConn, Syracuse, Louisville on the schedule.

If you don't read this article and thank the heavens we are leaving the Big East then you probably believe we should not play D-1A football.

I read it this morning too. You can certainly tell he covers the Friars, thats for damn sure. He's got it completely backwards but whatever. Thankfully we are leaving this debacle of a conference.

This is the exact reason nothing can get accomplished in the Big East. This is the reason for DePaul and Marquette. The "only's" band together and shoot down anything they think will make them lose a grip on the conference. They are "Cutting off the nose to spite the face".

When VT, Miami and BC left the all sports schools should have started their own conference right then. They could have invited the "only's" into the league as non-voting members and let them choose their fate. I am sure they would have stuck with the football schools on their terms if they were given that option.
