I see that the exhibition game against Holy Family will be televised via Time Warner Sports. I live in Southwestern CT and am trying to find out if the game will be carried on my cable system (Cablevision/Optimum).

Do any of you know and can tell me or - even better - can you point me to a website(s) where I can find this information out for myself?

It may or may not be an exercise in futility because past experience has taught me that SU exhibition games are of little interest to people outside of the immediate Syracuse area. I have caught a few here and there in seasons past though, so I figured its worth a search. I mean the game is being televised so there's a chance.

Any and all help is much appreciated.

I just looked and saw it's not on ESPN3 (though, for whatever reason, Pittsburgh vs Slippery Rock is...go figure) so I'm also wondering if there's a way to watch online down here in Texas?

buy a month of Orange All Access for 11 bucks then cancel after the first month . . . you'll get both exhibitions for sure, plus the early season home games (I think)

Ooh - great idea! Thank you!

As to my original query, I did a schedule search for my cable system and didn't find the SU game. I did find this though:

So while Cablevision/FCS is making the assumption that there aren't enough SU alum and/or fans in the area to warrant televising the Orange exhibition, apparently Kentucky Wildcat fever is running rampant in the NYC suburbs. Freaking Transylvania…?

I live in Syracuse, I have Fios. I see that fios sports one (channel 501) doesnt have it on, im also searching for it and cant find it. What channel is going to be on.

I used to be able to get all of the SU hoop exhibition games here in Branford, Connecticut, just outside of New Haven, because they were televised on SNY.

Not anymore.

Our move to the ACC has made it more difficult to get SU on TV.

I was told the ACC move would be a Godsend for the program.

Maybe it will be. Not for me.

Thankfully, big fan that I am, I'm going to the exhibition game Friday night.

Is justin tv still around? Or has that been taken away by the government? I doubt this winds up on first row sports.

Cuseguy, I grew up in Branford but moved to Ocala, Florida in 93. Sheesh, I must know you! PM me if you get a chance and reveal yourself! ;)

OAA is not showing the first exhibition!!!! Audio feed yes, video no. They may or may not show the second just FYI.

I could understand the programming if it was a football game between the Rock and the Burgh, but in hoops Slippery cant handle that
full court mugging.

that sucks . . . maybe they will show the video on archive?

Yes it sucks and its a licensing issue according to them so more than likely no archive.

It looks as though Orange All Access (OAA) will only be providing an audio link. Someone in another thread had mentioned it was due to the broadcast rights. Really a drag for those of us that live in remote locations and can't get the game via cable or sat.

In past years I do recall that the listing in the days prior to the game would only show the audio icon but then right before the game was to begin the video icon was enabled and the video was available. I'm not expecting that to happen tomorrow:(

That was me.

I emailed them because they usually get the video link up late and they said there would not be a video feed. Sounds like TWC ownes the rights to this exhibition.
