That’s when Edouard saw something he had never seen before. Snow. Snow on the ground. Snow covering cars. Snow streaming out of the sky.
He stood at that window for a while and smiled.
He was a long way from sunny Miami — in miles and temperature — but it was new, and he liked it.
Said Edouard: “When I saw that snow coming out of the sky something inside of me was just saying that the future here holds great things.”
That's true. Someone does all of the shoveling and snowblowing for them. Sure makes it a lot easier to live with. Thanks, Teddy!
I was telling my wife this the other day. To us snow is shoveling, scraping the car off, crazy driving conditions, cold - but to a kid who has never seen it? It's a novelty. Plus these kids won't have to deal with it as much as we do.
"Teddy was someone who was telling me what was best for me, not anybody else. All he ever says to me is that he wants me to be better than him.
“And going away from home could allow me to do that.”
Great article that puts it in perspective when kids decide to leave home.
Snow as a recruiting tool?![]()
man I love these kids in this year's class. And I'm pretty sure they're going to do one hell of a job selling SU to the next waves of recruits during their tenure on the hill.
