Men's Soccer SU vs UConn (0-1): Thurs Aug 21, 7 PM

UConn reportedly beat BC in an exhibition game a few days ago 2-1.

They have dropped a few notches from when they were a top,25 program but they still have good talent. This will be a good test for this Syracuse team that is loaded with newcomers in key positions.

I am not sure exactly, but I don't think B.C. has won a ACC road game in 8 or 9 years.
 
1-0 at the half. SU grew into the game in the last 10 minutes. Was impressed by Christey in the midfield
 
Just pathetic... 11 shots to 2 in the 2nd half and we couldn't score. 70% weren't even on net... I get sitting Darko for rest, around the 18 min mark. But you gotta bring him back in, in the final minutes...
I was impressed with Zambrano and Darko... Whigg struggled with his passing, Hut again like last year solid goalie, but man sometimes his reads on balls is mind numbing.
Hate losing, two Big East games and we get shut out in both.

Cannot come back in to the game in the same half unless you come out due to injury. Rule was changed last year.
Agree about Hut. He got himself in no man’s land on that goal. Also, agree about Whigg.
The result sucks but I saw promise.

We have Talent attacking for sure, UConn were physical and that number 6 in the back was good. 12 was a and stinks. We dominated most of the game and UConn really never stringed 5 passes together
 
Frustrating loss. 15 shots, no goals. But I've already seen lots of improvement from the team, which is a great sign.

The offense showed life, which was a huge concern this season. Darko and Christey were significant impacts who looked great in their first college game.

The team made one bad mistake in the first half on defense after a very slow start that cost them. Long season ahead but there is promise with this team.
