HAMILTON, N.Y. – Four members of the Syracuse women's soccer team were honored for their play at the Colgate Nike Classic last weekend. Juniors Erin Simon and Jackie Firenze, sophomore Stephanie Skilton and freshman Alex Lamontagne were named to the All-Tournament team after leading the Orange to victories against UMass-Lowell and Vermont.
Skilton tallied three goals and five points in the two matches. She scored a pair of goals and had an assist in a 4-0 win against UMass-Lowell for her second multiple-goal game of the season. She added a goal in SU's 3-2 double-overtime win on Sunday.
Lamontagne scored the game-winning goal in the 102nd minute against Vermont and tallied the Orange's final goal against UMass-Lowell. Firenze started the scoring against the River Hawks with her first goal of the season, while Simon had an assist on Lamontagne's goal that gave Syracuse a 4-0 victory.
The Orange returns to Hamilton on Thursday, Sept. 11 when it takes on Colgate at 7 p.m.
