Yesterday afternoon, I was thinking about asking if the fans here thought the season was successful. There is often talk before a season starts that JB does his best work with an under-staffed team. And here it is, JB got a 7 man team with 3 freshmen, to the Elite Eight. Wow, was I being premature! Can anybody now question that this has been a VERT successful season. That JB has done his best coaching perhaps ever! Again ; WOW.

This season has definitely tested what the term successful means. If it ended vs Gonzaga, it'd be a real debate, but now that we're headed to Houston, it's a resounding...YES!

No it wouldn't have. Our play all season reflected that of a team that barely deserved to be in the tournament. We exceeded reasonable expectations when we won our opening round game. At that point the season was a success. Would we have been happy losing to MTSU or Gonzaga? Of course not, but would it have made the season unsuccessful? In my view as soon as we got in the tournament the season was a success because we avoided consecutive years absent.

Totally agree. I was thrilled we made the tournament. Making the sweet 16 was beyond my initial expectations with Michigan State in the bracket. Once they lost, I knew anything could happen but was happy regardless. What has happened is beyond my wildest dreams, and yes - occasionally my wildest dreams have been known to be about SU basketball.

I agree that it would've been successful no matter how this weekend turned out, but it would have been a debate for some. Now, there's no debate. This has been a great, great year, though very, very up and down!

I was already satisfied for our 1st round Dayton payback. Final Four?! .. I'm still haven't landed back on planet Earth.

exactly how I feel.

This Final 4 is the most satisfying for me.
