SUMB To Perform At Super Bowl

I'm guessing SU performs their original rendition of New York, New York.

TO$U band is going to curbstomp the Rutgers band next year worse than TO$U's football team will bitchslap the Girls' football team.

Rutgers and Syracuse, two of the finest marching bands in the New Jersey and New York region, will perform at approximately 6 p.m. ET. Kickoff is slated for 6:30 p.m. ET.

Pfft Rutgirls MB full of 2 star Tuba players puffed up to 4 stars by their recruiting shill.

Definately playing "We didn't start the (dumpster) fire" by Billy Joel.

Yup.

SU would clean the floor with those overrated Scarlet tubsters in an Oompa Off.

But their percussion section is full of players from Don Bosco, so they must be better, right?

I guess we root for the blizzard to hit at 6:28. SUMB will be getting back on the bus by then.

While playing the only three songs they know!

I hope they leave enough good players behind in Syracuse so that we have an A-Team SSS pep band at the game-day Duke game

Wouldn't the SUMB just bus down Sunday morning?

You could be right. However, my guess is that they would have to be there for a rehearsal. The Super Bowl is the most over-produced event in the world. I suspect they are not going to let some college band on the field that has not rehearsed there.

The NFL has 1-day flex (in either direction) for this year's event to be able to deal with possible weather issues. If the weather looks at all iffy for that weekend then I'd expect the SUMB to be nowhere near Syracuse on Sunday morning.

With all due respect, I am pretty sure a Superbowl performance is > any regular season basketball game. The Superbowl is a lifetime memory. :)

I understand that Rutgers' marching band has lost 70% of its members over the past several weeks. Boom!
They come in offered a spot at tuba and get sent a clarinet.
