You could be right. However, my guess is that they would have to be there for a rehearsal. The Super Bowl is the most over-produced event in the world. I suspect they are not going to let some college band on the field that has not rehearsed there.

The NFL has 1-day flex (in either direction) for this year's event to be able to deal with possible weather issues. If the weather looks at all iffy for that weekend then I'd expect the SUMB to be nowhere near Syracuse on Sunday morning.

With all due respect, I am pretty sure a Superbowl performance is > any regular season basketball game. The Superbowl is a lifetime memory.
