"The Final Four will return to Louisiana this season. State coach Mark Gottfried nodded and said: "I've been around a lot of good teams, guys, and that team right there might be playing on Monday night in April."

“These guys have all bought in,” Boeheim said. “I’ve never had a team that’s played these kind of minutes in my 36 years of coaching. I’ve never done this. We’ve really split the minutes up. ... To be able to sit on the bench and come in and be productive — that’s a great thing.”

Comment from a fan

Just one note here. You know all that talk about not playing many road games? Can this one even be counted as one? With just a few minutes left in the game, Scoop hit a shot and a loud “SCOOP” roared through the crowd. Maybe the lack of true road games makes for a larger Cuse contingency when they actually do travel.

Aquille Carr & Isaiah Whitehead show down ends in OT

Here's the preview of that showdown

Tyler Ennis of St. Benedict’s snuck in and put back a missed free throw by Denzel Taylor with 5.8 seconds left to give the Grey Bees a 67-65 victory in the fifth game of the Hoop Group Tip-Off Showcase at West Orange.

Taylor had tied the game at 65-65 for St. Benedict’s on a follow and was fouled by Justin Sears with 7.8 left to play. Sears fouled out on the play, leaving with 21 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks. With the 6-7 Sears off the block for the missed free throw, it allowed the 6-2 Ennis to get position for the basket.

“I was trying to convince Denzel (Taylor) that he was going to make the free throw,” said Ennis of his game-winning play. “But I had to be ready to make a play. If he (Sears) was in the game at the end, I might not have got that rebound.”

From the second article, "the Orange (11-0), who played just their seventh non-conference true road game since 2003 and avoided their first nonconference road loss since 2002 at Tennessee." I know we have played Kansas in Kansas, etc., but that is ridiculous. Hopefully, after joining the ACC, we start doing many more home and homes with top teams.

From The First Article - Dion Waiters Star In Waiting

The 6-4 sophomore guard can do a bit of everything, and he does everything well. Waiters established a career-high with 22 points Saturday night at the RBC Center. It was the first true non-Big East road game of his career — Syracuse hadn’t played a true non-league road game on an opponents’ home court since a December 2008 win against Memphis — but that didn’t faze him one bit.
