Landing a recruiting class no easy job for Syracuse University ...

Around The Big East

Louisville's Charlie Strong now sits at the top of the Big East salary chart at $2.3 million a year after signing a new seven-year extension. Syracuse's Doug Marrone, meanwhile, ranks either at the bottom or near it, depending on undisclosed outside income. Marrone reportedly makes approximately $1.2 million a year.

Flood said "he didn't see it coming" referencing Schiano's defection to the Bucs, Wonder if Schady plans on contacting any of his former staff he left in the cold on joining him? If RU goes another route for a HC, does Flood and some others go away, too? I read here that the NJ HS coaches much prefer not to have an outsider come in. Giving Flood a one year 'show me' contract may be the best solution. Keep the staff who were stiffed by Schady in place and preserve as much of this year's recruiting class as possible.

Sounds like a tail wagging the dog kind of situation.
