Maybe it's just early after a late night, but how can we have clinched a berth in the BET, let alone the 3 seed? If GT beats Rutgers and SU loses to ND, SU, SJ and GT are tied at 3-3. Based on the mini-conference rule (I am assuming it is the same as the BB tie-breaker), everyone is 1-1. So then you move down from the top of the conference with records against those teams. Looking at it quickly, I don't see where SU gains the advantage to be the 3 seed.

The Big East would never lie:

Thursday, May 3 - Semifinals
4:30 PM No. 1 Notre Dame vs. No. 4 St. John's (ESPNU)

7:00 PM No. 2 Villanova vs. No. 3 Syracuse (ESPN3 Live/ ESPNU Delay at 10pm)

Saturday, May 5 - Championship Game
Noon Semifinal Winners (ESPNU)

The tie-breaking process is "goal differential", not our record against the top 2 teams. Running up the score on Rutgers has it's advantages.

I'm not liking this ESPN3 crap, though.

Funny - I saw the BE link, but when I loaded the Post Standard story, it didn't have the paragraph about the tie-breaker. Now it does. It has to suck to lose a chance to play for the title based on goal differential, but then again, it's 10:30 and Georgetown still sucks!

And you're right - the ESPN3 crap stinks.

The radio will probably be :30 ahead of ESPN3.

I have a feeling I'll be pissing off a few people in the chat room.
