The acclaimed "worse call in the history of the game". Everyone in the country expected the ball to be handed off to Lynch. We have seen that goal line stands aren't all that uncommon. A short pass was unexpected and went bad but if the Hawks scored the winning TD it would have been recalled as genius. It didn't and he is blasted. Wilson was running around the Patriots so I might have called a run and pass with Wilson going right and finding someone in the back of the end zone or if he saw the light go for the goal line himself. The pass failed and they paid the price. no one's head was cut off so; who cares?

It was a great defensive play, (which Butler should never have had an opportunity to make). But it was a Super Bowl which was decided right at the goal line. Rams-Titans was decided at the 2 yard line. If that had been the third play after Lynch got stuffed twice and this was absolutely the alst play of the game, we could have appreciated it as a dramatic play, rather than a stupid call.

As always success or failure is the bottom line and it failed, so yes your take is legitimate. The interception itself was kind of quirky IMO.Bouncing off the way it did,it could just as easily fell incomplete. It didn't and will forever haunt Pete Caroll and his reputation. Thats why they get paid the big $. I don't feel sorry for him or the Seahawks.
